2. Visiting the website and hosting
We use IONOS Webhosting Pro, provided by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Straße 57, 56410 Montabaur, Germany, to host our website. When you access a page, connection data necessary for the technical operation of the website are processed. These include the IP address from which your browser requests the website. Depending on the technical logging arrangements, server logs may also contain the time of access, the page requested, the volume of data transferred, browser information and status messages. These data are used to deliver the website, analyse errors and ensure secure operation. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). IONOS states that the visitor data collected as part of its webhosting service are anonymised immediately and stored for eight weeks.
3. IONOS WebAnalytics
We use IONOS WebAnalytics for statistical analysis and technical optimisation of our website. According to IONOS, this analysis is based on server logs or a tracking pixel. The data collected include the page accessed, the time of access, the referrer, browser and device information, and an anonymised IP address. IONOS states that the IP address transmitted when a page is accessed is anonymised immediately and that WebAnalytics does not use cookies. The legal basis for processing connection data to provide and optimise our website is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.
4. Contact form and email
If you contact us using the contact form, we process your name, email address and message, together with any company name and telephone number you choose to provide. Our staff use these details to process and respond to your enquiry. The information submitted is stored in our Joomla system using Convert Forms and sent as a complete message to our email inbox hosted by IONOS. If you contact us directly by email, IONOS also processes the message as part of providing this inbox. Under our current configuration, the sender's IP address is not recorded in the stored form submissions.
For enquiries relating to entering into or performing a contract, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, handling the enquiry is a legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. The information marked as required must be provided so that we can respond to you.
We retain enquiries that constitute commercial correspondence relating to a commercial transaction for six years in accordance with statutory requirements. This period begins at the end of the calendar year in which the message was received or sent. We delete general enquiries unrelated to a commercial transaction six months after the correspondence has concluded, unless the matter remains open or there is a specific, justified reason for retaining the information for longer. Once that reason no longer applies, we delete the message.
5. Google Maps on the contact page
We offer an interactive Google Maps map on our contact page. For users in the European Economic Area, the provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Simply visiting the contact page does not load the map from Google. Only when you click “Load map” does your browser establish a connection to Google and retrieve the map. In particular, your IP address and technical information about your browser are transmitted to Google. Using the map is optional; our address and directions are also available without loading it. The legal basis for voluntarily activating the map is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. You can prevent further transmission by leaving or reloading the page and not activating the map again. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that has already taken place.
Google may also process data outside the European Economic Area. Information about the purposes and scope of processing and possible transfers is available in Google's Privacy Policy and Google's information on data transfers.
6. Cookies and similar technologies
Our website may store or access information in your browser where this is technically necessary, for example to provide website functions. Prior consent may be required for access to information on your device that is not necessary.
7. Your rights
You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn. To do so, please contact us using the details above.
Subject to the provisions of the GDPR, you have the right of access to your personal data (Article 15), the right to rectification (Article 16), the right to erasure (Article 17), the right to restriction of processing (Article 18) and, where the statutory conditions are met, the right to data portability (Article 20). Under Article 21 GDPR, you may object to processing based on Article 6(1)(f) GDPR on grounds relating to your particular situation. Please contact us using the details above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Article 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority responsible for us is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information North Rhine-Westphalia (Landesbeauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit Nordrhein-Westfalen). Information about making a complaint is available at ldi.nrw.de (in German).
