Drinking water hygiene
Drinking water sampling
Professional sampling of drinking water for microbiological testing and selected additional parameters.
Professional drinking water sampling
Professional sampling is an essential part of drinking water testing. Sample collection, documentation and transport are important for obtaining meaningful test results.
Our laboratory carries out drinking water sampling. Samples can be collected for microbiological testing of parameters such as colony counts at 22 °C and 36 °C, Escherichia coli, coliform bacteria, intestinal enterococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Legionella spp.
The scope of sampling depends on the testing objective, the drinking water installation, on-site sampling conditions and the applicable requirements. Where needed, we can help you agree a suitable scope of testing.
Sampling & testing
Sampling based on your testing objectives
Sampling arrangements depend on the drinking water installation, the sampling point, the testing objective and the applicable requirements. The specific scope is agreed according to the testing needs and on-site sampling conditions.
Depending on the testing objective, microbiological parameters such as colony counts at 22 °C and 36 °C, Escherichia coli, coliform bacteria, intestinal enterococci, Pseudomonas aeruginosa or Legionella spp. may be tested.
For selected additional parameters, such as certain heavy metals, sampling followed by analysis at a partner laboratory can be arranged.
Drinking water installations
For installations where microbiological testing is to be carried out in accordance with specified requirements.
Unusual findings
For investigating unusual microbiological findings or carrying out targeted follow-up testing.
Agreed scope
For testing needs that require prior expert assessment of sampling points, parameters and the scope of testing.
